Senior Cross Country

Students jogging, walking, talking and dawdling like a bunch of jungle animals.

Everyday we have cross-country and we have to run three whole laps. There were year fours running with the year eights. Some students like the year fours ran only two times around the block but the year eights and sevens had to run three compulsory laps.

When the bell rang we first had to get into our class lines. As we stood we had to wait for the teachers instructions to start running. We ran up the hill and got to the gate near the crossing where Mrs Golder was standing. Down the hill we ran very exhaustedly. Some people were jogging and sprinting to finish one lap.

Later,  when we past Mr Reid we headed towards Mrs Buchanan’s way. While we were running up the hill there were more than one person sauntering through one lap. Then we ran up towards Miss Ginders and she told us to “Keep running it’s only one or two more laps left” so we ran and walked through to the finish line. At last we came to the end of the last lap we were as tired as! I took a sip of water, the coldness of the water went dripping down my sleeves.

We practised and practised and at the end of the day we were BETTER THAN BEFORE!
